Side Effects of Drugs
...Not Yet Covered Elsewhere

This page is dedicated to the side effects of drugs not yet covered under the conditions listed on the other pages. Here you'll find an alphabetical listing of the drugs by disease/condition. It remains the main goal of the site to provide you with information about the side effects of drugs and after receiving numerous emails about folks not finding the side effects of the particular drug they were looking for, I decided to switch things up...

Change can be a good thing, and this case it is...

The most important thing is providing you with the good concrete high-value information you've come to expect on this site. Initially, I was trying to give a little disease overview first and then launch into the drugs used to treat it and then finally into the side effects of the drugs. Now if you've landed on this site, my guess is that you are either looking for the information about the side effects of drugs or about clinical trials.

My guess is that if you are or someone you know is already taking a particular medication, then you probably know what what it's for and why it is being taken. So now, you have the option of just jumping right into the information you really want... the medication side effects.

Certainly, you'll still be able to get some background disease information, I will keep adding that to this site as well, in addition to the side effects of drugs, so fear not :)

Now without much more ado, feel free to scroll down the page below... find the disease or condition that the drug treats, then find the medication whose side effects you want to know about and get right to it! Don't like scrolling and searching...? Well "there's an app for that too!" ...okay well, not really an actual "app" but you can do a site search right here.

Sleeping Medications (Sedatives)

Recently there have been some new and rather bizarre side effects of drugs used to treat insomnia or sleeplessness. Like it isn't bad enough that one can't sleep but then top that off with...

...getting up, (not waking up, mind you) making a sandwich and then driving to the office or to school... ALL while still asleep!

Find out more of the side effects of drugs by clicking on a medication below.

Non-Prescription Sleeping Medications:

  • Nytol, Sleep-Eez, Sominex (Diphenhydramine)

Unlike the over-the-counter sleeping medicines which are all antihistamines, prescription-only sleeping medications fall into a number of different drug classes and they are listed below. As you will see, the side effects of drugs used to treat insomnia (and certain other sleeping disorders) tend to to be similar for drugs that belong in the same drugs class.

  • Ambien, Ambien CR (Zolpidem)

All women become like their mothers. That is their tragedy.
No man does. That's his.
