Before discussing Seroquel side effects, here is an important warning that you should be aware of. - Studies have shown that elderly patients who have dementia-related psychosis and are being treated with atypical antipsychotics, such as Seroquel, are at an increased risk of death when compared to placebo. Though the deaths had different causes, most of them appeared to be related to the heart (in particular, due to heart failure and sudden death), or due to infections like pneumonia.
- Increased risk of suicidal thinking and suicidal behavior in children, adolescents and young adults with major depressive disorder and other psychiatric disorders.

Post-Marketing Seroquel Side Effects
