Prevacid Side Effects

Here's a little bit of background before we get into the discussion of Prevacid side effects. Prevacid is used to treat various types of stomach ulcers as well as reflux disease (also known as GERD). It is also used to prevent the formation of certain types of ulcers, more specifically, those caused by NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs) such as Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin IB), Naproxen (Aleve), etc. This is usually only a problem if you'll be using these medications for along period of time or if you already have a history of stomach ulcers or are otherwise at high risk for developing such ulcers. Prevacid also comes as combination drug with Naproxen (brand name - Prevacid Naprapac). However, the Prevacid side effects listed on this page are for Prevacid alone.
