Lyrica Side Effects

Lyrica side effects are pretty similar across the various uses so in addition to giving all the lyrica side effects across the board, we'll also break up the side effects according to each indication of the medication. Lyrica is FDA-approved for a number of different uses, they include the management of:

• fibromyalgia
• neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy
• postherpetic neuralgia
• adjunctive therapy for adult patients with partial onset seizures

Like all other anti-epileptic drugs, one thing you must be aware of when using Lyrica is that it may cause suicidal thoughts or actions in a small number of people who use it ...in approximately 1 in 500 people. If this does happen to you, do NOT stop taking the medication abruptly and without first talking to your healthcare provider. It is best to have him or her determine the exact cause of the suicidal thoughts and actions prior to (if necessary), taking you off the medication.
