Flomax Side Effects
The more common Flomax side effects are usually transient, this means that in a lot instances, once your body becomes accustomed to the medication it will adjust and they will most likely subside. Flomax is used to treat the signs and symptoms of BPH - Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy. Flomax has some very specific warnings that you need to be aware. If you weren't advised of them prior to starting treatment with this medication then now is a great time to know. - There is a high potential for Flomax to cause fainting because using this medication can very frequently result in a condition known as "orthostasis". Symptoms of orthostasis include dizziness, vertigo and a rapid drop in blood pressure when you stand up from a sitting or lying down position. You'll need to be careful to avoid situations where you could possibly faint.
- There can be some severe drug interactions with Flomax and certain other drugs. Feel free to contact me directly if you need more information about what these drug interactions are.
- In rare instances, Flomax can cause priapism. Priapism can cause permanent impotence so if it does happen to you or someone you know, be sure to report this to your healthcare provider.
- If you have a sulfa allergy then you should be cautious about using Flomax; let your doctor know because some people with sulfa allergies have had allergic reactions to Flomax as well.
